Doris House

Doris House is a transitional home for vulnerable, homeless young women ages 18-24 who are pregnant, parenting an infant, or working to regain custody of their child. Our program at Doris House invests in our residents, helping them to identify, develop and achieve goals in the areas of education, employment, access to services, financial matters, support systems, interpersonal skills, nutrition, and parenting. Our program’s mission is to reduce the stress on the foster care system by providing the care, support, and teaching necessary for a young mother to raise and bond to her child. Thus she will be able to finish the building blocks for a stable and healthy life with proper support.
